Periodic inspection and testing is necessary because all electrical
installations deteriorate over time. This is due to a number of factors such as damage, wear, tear, corrosion, excessive electrical
loading, ageing and environmental influences.
A periodic Inspection and Test is a written report Identifying
and highlighting any deficiencies and or non compliance with the
wiring regulations. A periodic Inspection and Test should be considered:
to assess compliance with the Wiring Regulations on a change of occupancy of the premises on a change of use of the premises after alterations or additions to the original installation because of any significant change in the electrical loading of the installation where there is reason to believe that damage may have been caused to the installation
Any deficiencies and or non compliance with the wiring
regulations will be identified and graded from
1 to 4, hence indicating the level of action required.
If you think your property may require an Inspection and Test, please contact the office to arrange a mutually convenient time
